Europe's most efficient distributor

The use of digital technology in Greece is reaching new heights thanks to Alpha Copy, the exclusive distributor of Minolta and Nokia products. Since it was established in 1984, Alpha Copy has become one of the leading players in the telecommunications and information technology sectors in Greece. Today the company's president, S J Constantinides, remains enthusiastic about its success and continuous growth. Its commitment to its partners, employees and customers is key to a strategy of quality in communication.

Alpha Copy's local savvy has proved to be a vital competitive edge in the Greek market for both Minolta and Nokia. "We truly understand the concept of thinking globally and acting locally," says Constantinides. "It is critical for multinational companies to have a local distributor and develop business through understanding of Greek consumers. Mutual respect for the country and its partners is the most important element. This is what has made Alpha Copy a success."

"We are not opportunists; we stick with the companies we represent," he continues. "We believe that loyalty and values are the most important qualities in business relationships, and we have learned this from working with Minolta and Nokia. With this you can work together very efficiently. Our company sticks with our partners and principles whether we are winning or losing, because of all these years of mutual respect."

S.J. Costantinides, president of Alpha Copy

Alpha Copy has established a widespread and efficient distribution network that comprises seven professional Nokia centers, 83 Nokia shops, and around 7,000 sale outlets all over Greece. Its financial performance is on a continuous upward trend. Annual revenue, which now exceeds $300 million, has increased an average of 150 percent each year since 1988. The company president proudly refers to his firm as the quickest distribution company in Greece and the best in Europe. "We can distribute and deliver products anywhere in Greece within two hours," he says. "Not many companies can service 8 million customers at the rate we do."

This sector leader prides itself on treating clients with equal respect and support, leading to long-term relationships and business. Within the company, the same respect reigns. Teamwork is a valued corporate trademark, and the company maintains open communications -- giving employees equal knowledge and authority to make decisions. Performance incentives are given on a yearly basis, eliminating unfair competition and increasing motivation.

This success has inevitably led to expansion. Alpha Copy has already entered the market in Cyprus, where it established itself as the country's first telecommunications and information technology company. It has also transferred its technology and experience to the Balkan region. Alpha Copy's operations in Macedonia are doing extremely well, and it is also expanding in Serbia and Albania while looking into potential for market penetration and growth in Kosovo, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Romania.

Alpha Copy's focus on long-term growth and expansion is based on a strategy of gaining strong brand awareness ahead of the competition and full integration in Europe. Its emphasis on speed, quality, technology, reliability and support are key to ths winning strategy.
