Quality and service with a human heart

Established in 1996 with production commencing the following year, NOK Indonesia has become an important player in the worldwide automobile industry - supplying high quality oil and rubber seals to manufacturers around the globe.

Located just an hour away from Jakarta in Bekasi, NOK Indonesia has gained a reputation for top quality products through loyal customers such as Denso, VW, Yamaha and LG.

"Our technology is of a very high standard," says Ryusaburo Kameya, the company's president director. "We are able to meet customer's demands with regard to both quality and cost. Our recent award, Quality System-9000, proves our products are of the highest quality. Our customers depend on our loyalty and the guarantee that we can supply the best."

Building on its hard-earned reputation, NOK Indonesia now looks set to increase sales in 2003. At the same time Kameya is also dedicated to investing in the company's 600-plus workforce.

"I consider the company's three most important factors to be quality, delivery and cost," he enumerates. "The question now is: 'How do we improve?" I believe understanding is essential; it is the foundation of our company. Concerning our work force, education is our key word and this takes priority in my opinion. We educate our staff and they understand quality is of the utmost importance."

Looking back on his time in Indonesia, Kameya says he holds the country close to his heart: "My experience in Indonesia has been a positive one. I have worked in various countries and Indonesia is no different. The human mind is the same everywhere, and at NOK Indonesia we work together to educate and create opportunities. Customers are confident we can meet their requirements as we move into the future, so we will continue to do so."
