In 1974, Fuji-Xerox of Japan started a joint venture in Korea. Even way back then, the company's attitude could be described as 'glocal' - global and local at the same time.
Nobuya's drive to transform the Korean offices into Digital Document Centers has led Fuji Xerox to realize remarkable growth and success in the local market. Due to its contribution to the Korean economy, and its exceptional operational performance, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) also recently lauded the company as one of the best foreign companies operating in Korea. Globally, Fuji Xerox racked up $27 million in exports last year, up nearly 92 percent from the year before. With plans to expand production to China, they hope to continue that growth into the future. Meanwhile, Korea Fuji Xerox has become one of the key components of the multinational group in the Asia, with the potential to become the largest one in the region in the coming years.
